Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?
Direct Primary Care, or DPC, is a different model of health care that focuses on establishing a strong doctor-patient relationship. DPC is a modern healthcare model that gives you unlimited access to your primary care provider for one affordable monthly membership. There are no copays, no surprise bills, and no insurance hassles for your primary care needs.
By stepping away from the bureaucracy of health insurance, patients can get comprehensive appointments that are not rushed, in-office visits or via telehealth services whenever needed, and a role in creating their healthcare plan. There’s a greater focus on prevention and patients can access medical advice when symptoms first start to appear, instead of waiting until a small issue has become a health crisis. At Wellspring Medical DPC, Dr. Homaira Ahmed can focus on giving you the best care with superior accessibility.

Urgent Care is designed for occasional illnesses or injuries and charges for every visit, test, or procedure. A single visit can become expensive, especially if labs, imaging, or medications are needed.
With DPC, you have unlimited access to your physician for one affordable monthly fee, allowing many health issues to be treated early before they become more serious. Many members find this approach saves both time and money while providing a much more personalized healthcare experience.
